What is a perfume decant?
A decant is a smaller bottle filled from an authentic fragrance. Here is how ScentRev sizes 2ml, 8ml, and 10ml samples in India.
A smaller bottle, the same fragrance
A perfume decant is a portion of a fragrance moved from a sealed retail bottle into a smaller atomiser. It is not a clone and not an “inspired by” scent. You are buying the same juice, in a size meant for trying or travelling.
ScentRev fills decants from authentic, sealed bottles sourced through authorised distributors and official brand channels. If a listing does not match the brand on the bottle we opened, it does not go out.
The sizes we sell
Try is 2ml. Travel is 8ml. Plus is 10ml. At about four sprays a day, we plan on roughly 7–8 wears from 2ml, 30–35 wears from 8ml, and 37–43 wears from 10ml. Skin, weather, and how heavily you spray will change that.
Start with 2ml when you have never worn the scent on skin. Move to 8ml or 10ml only after it still works on you at work, outdoors, and after a few hours.
What a decant is not
A decant is not a way to return a scent you simply do not like. Opened fragrance cannot be resold. That is why the small size exists. Wrong, damaged, or leaking orders are a different case and are covered on the returns page.
A discovery set is several decants chosen as a group. Use one when you want a shortlist. Use a single decant when you already know the name.
